The Cob Barn is an enchanting forest retreat on the slopes of Mt Arthur. Come and be inspired by a unique hand-sculpted earth building nestled on the edge of a stunning temperate rainforest.

It’s a rare Eco-tourism experience of relaxing in a cob house and exploring a pristine forest just minutes from civilisation.

This secluded setting is an ideal place to unwind. When you arrive, the key will be in the lockbox and the fire set. Make yourselves at home. ...All that's left to do is enjoy!

The space
The building is a unique hand shaped structure made from cob, a mixture of clay, sand and straw with interior lime rendered walls. Once an old timber barn, it has been beautifully renovated to provide comfortable self contained accommodation.

Through the french doors you can view the pond that is visited by wild ducks and sometimes platypus. There is also a small rowboat on the pond for your enjoyment. Or soak away your cares in a steamy hot outdoor bath hidden behind a spiral cob wall and then relax round the fire pit at night under a starry heaven.
