Beautiful 3-bedroom duplex situated on one of the finest Kenyan shorelines. The house is part of a gated condominium that provides direct access to the beach, 2 on-site swimming pools, tennis court and 24/7 security.

***Due to COVID measures, the occupancy is strictly 6 people, including children. Visitors are temporarily not allowed unless we can count them as staying guests.

We apologise for such struct rules but it helps us to keep all the guests safe. Thank you for your understanding.

The space
Spacious 2-level accommodation: 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 living / dining room, 1 lovely terrace and 1 veranda for a total area of ~250m². Every room is equipped with an A/C. The open spaces are equipped with fans.

The duplex is part of an upscale resort with direct access to the beach and at walking distance from Watamu centre. On the beach, you have your sun beds and a shadowed place.

There are two on-site pools with different water temperatures, shapes and depths. In between the two pools, there are the suggestive remains of the altar of a 12th century Swahili mosque part of Gede ruins.

A modern gym with A/C as well as a tennis court is at your disposal, day and night.

1) How far the beach is from the house?
- The resort directly faces the beach. There is no road to be crossed. It'll take you 3 minutes from the house to the sea.

2) Are services of the private cook and maid included in the price?
- Yes.

3) Do all the bedrooms have A/Cs?
- Yes.

4) Do guests get access to the pool?
- Yes, all guests of the resort have access to the two on-site pools as well as to all other facilities and services.

5) Can I see the sea from the house?
- No, the house faces the garden with beautiful vegetation.

6) Is there wi-fi coverage
- We provide 4G pocket wi-fi coverage (Safaricom) with a generous data package. There is also a weak wi-fi signal streamed by the ressort.

Watamu, Kilifi County, Kenya

Watamu, in local Swahili language, means "sweet people". It is a fishermen village on the coast of the Indian Ocean at about 150 km north of Mombasa and 25 km south of Malindi. It has grown into a lovely beach resort over the years. The village has all you need: two small supermarkets, a number of curio and souvenir dealers, a butchery, fishmongers, banks and forex, post office, two doctors' clinics, a western hairdresser, many restaurants, a casino, bars, night clubs and several roadside eateries. Watamu Marine National Park was the first to be established in Kenya back in 1968. The adjacent Arabuko Sokoke Forest is the largest indigenous coastal forest remaining in East Africa. It also hosts the ancient Gede ruins. The whole area is declared a UN Biosphere Reserve.

During your stay

Rennis, the housekeeper, is the key contact throughout your stay. She coordinates the work of additional staff that will be present in the villa. Please consider 8 hours for a normal working day. If you ask the staff to stay longer, please tip them for the extra time.
Other staff are part of the resort: security guards (Askaris), maintenance staff, gardeners and pool and beach attendants. All staff goes through compulsory medical check every 6 months.
