The Shepherds Sleep-out is a separate hut 20 metres from the Red Shed. Sleeps two people in single beds. The Shepherds sleep-out shares the Red Shed facilities and the two outdoor baths!

At the base of Welcome Rock is the ‘Red Shed’, the original woolshed lovingly restored with touches of home. Enjoy a deep slumberous sleep in our spacious studio with full kitchenette and separate ensuite.

It’s the wonderful indulgences, visitors say, that make the Red Shed special - like the 2 outdoor hot baths under the stars, a barbecue/patio area to enjoy homemade local fare. And of course the visiting birds, chooks or sheep dogs.

Walking, Mountain Biking & Trout Fishing (The Mataura). Guests travel 4kms up a gravel road. This is a rural location.

If it’s adventure you want, then stay right up the top of the mountain in the authentic Slate Hut or Mud Hut with magnificent sunsets, stars and panoramic views.
