Beautiful, newly refurbished Victorian two bed cottage. Ideally situated in the heart of a pretty East Sussex village near an award winning pub & bakery. Close to london, the south coast, Bewl water, Bedgebury Pinetum & Royal Tunbridge Wells Spa.

The space
The cottage has two good sized bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and one with twin single beds. A hairdryer is provided in the master bedroom.
The master bedroom has a freestanding bath and a small en suite loo and sink. There is a separate newly refurbished bathroom with large high pressure shower, loo & basin.

Downstairs there is a reasonable sized, well equipped kitchen with a table to seat 4 people. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, nespresso coffee maker, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle etc. The kitchen also has a wood burner.
The cottage has a small utility room with a washing machine, clothes airer, iron, ironing board, hoover etc. The utility room is an ideal place for a dog to sleep. There are dog towels, bowls, blankets, a bed and lead provided.

The sitting room is a cosy room with an open fire and large comfortable sofas. There is a TV and high speed broadband.

There is a small courtyard garden at the back of the house with table and chairs.

Where you’ll be

Ticehurst, England, United Kingdom

The house is set in the heart of the beautiful village of Ticehurst. There are three great pubs, a golf course, a village shop, post office, zero waste grocery shop, florist, dry cleaners, Indian takeaway, interiors shop and lots more.
Bewl water is on the doorstep which has a large play area & is great for walking, cycling & sailing.
Bedgebury is three miles away and has Go Ape, a children's play trail and is also great for walking & cycling. Cycle hire can be organised at Bewl & Bedgebury.
Pashley Manor is in the village and has stunning seasonal gardens. There are also a number of National Trust properties such as Scotney Castle and Batemans which are well worth visiting.
The eclectic town of Hastings is 17 miles away. For us it is a one stop shop, antique shopping in the old town for the adults & fish & chips on the beach, the aquarium & arcades for the children. Camber is the closest sandy beach which is only 24 miles away & is also very close to the beautiful town of Rye.
Tunbridge Wells, only 11 miles away, is the largest town locally and has great shopping & restaurants.
Hawkhurst (4 miles) has a cinema, Waitrose & Tesco. Wadhurst is another very well appointed large village 3 miles away & would be our choice to take the train to london which takes approx 1hr to Charing Cross.
