A chic cabin tucked away in one of the most secret and unspoilt corners of the New Forest national park, only a stroll from the sea, with forest walks on its doorstep and one of the best local pubs in the area. Continental breakfast included.

Beaulieu is only a 12-minute drive away, the Georgian sailing town of Lymington with its marinas, cobbled streets and restaurants, a 7- minute drive, and Lymington Pier with station and ferry only 5 minutes away.

The space
Inside the studio-style cabin we've focussed on creating a sense of shabby chic glamour, ensuring comfort and those little extras that make it a home away from home. The comfortable master bed has 100 per cent cotton bedlinen, cushions and a British made luxury fake fur throw. Fluffy towels can be found in the large shower room with soap and shampoo dispensers. There is a speaker for plugging your phone in and playing your i-tunes or other music library in the sitting room and a wall mounted TV with dvd player in the bedroom area. For quiet moments we have plenty of books to read and shelves of dvds to watch and, for rainy days, games in the bottom drawer of the dresser.

The Pig Shed has underfloor heating throughout with an additional heated towel rail in the shower room. From the main seating area double doors open onto a small terrace where you can sit and watch the sun go down over the field and forest beyond with a glass of something chilled in your hand.

There is also a barbecue on the terrace and we will provide you with a complementary first bag of coals.

Back indoors, in the kitchenette area, there is a small fridge, a microwave, a toaster with croissant warmer, a kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine. We also provide a hotplate, should you wish to cook something light.

A continental-style breakfast will be provided for you in the kitchenette and fridge so you don't have to ever be disturbed. As well as a selection of teas, we also provide complementary pods for the Nespresso machine.

Where you’ll be

The Pig Shed is situated in a sleepy hamlet not far from Lymington. It is on the Solent Way, and has some beautiful forest walks on its doorstep. It also boasts one of the loveliest wild beaches in the area, where ponies roam freely, and a very popular local pub. It is the perfect starting point for walks and cycle rides as the lanes that meander through the countryside from here to Buckler's Hard and Beaulieu (often with views of the sea) are exceptionally quiet and scenic.

We think this little corner of East End is one of the most special places in the New Forest. We look forward to welcoming you, and know you'll just love it here too.

The area is beautiful to visit any time of the year. The first frosts are magical as are the glorious autumn colours and quiet, unspoilt beaches. Not many people know this but we have a micro-climate here, with more sun hours than elsewhere in the UK!!

We came to the New Forest 10 years ago, moving around until we found this special little hamlet by the sea, which we fell in love with. We used our combined skills (I used to be a features editor for interior design magazines and Ian designed shop windows) to re-create our old garden Pig Shed into a stylish bolthole for people to escape the town and be in the quiet of the forest and by the sea. We love hosting and enjoy making our guests feel relaxed and a little pampered.
