Modern-rustic chalet, nestled in the magical mountain village of Castle Hill. Only 1 hour, 10 minutes from Christchurch. This is the perfect place to get close to nature and unwind. The chalet is warm and "hugge", with comfortable furniture and plenty of space for 2 families to spread out.
Our home is available to travellers from near and far.
Enjoy endless outdoor fun...skiing, hiking, rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, rivers, native forest and tennis. OR just relax and breathe deeply.

The space
Our recently built chalet has most of the mod cons that make a holiday relaxing, while giving that feel of old world simplicity. Solid wood walls and a heated concrete floor make it very cosy in the winter and cool evenings.
Let me know how many beds to make up and I'll have the place all ready for you. I use cotton sheets and pillow cases and natural fibre bedding...wool or feather duvets for your luxurious comfort. There is plenty of extra bedding should you feel the cold.
The house gets all day sunshine and you can sit out on the deck, enjoy a BBQ and watch the sunset or star gaze into the late hours.
The house is equipped with tennis racquets, board games, and a small collection of books for kids and adults. There is a TV screen with AppleTV and DVD player with a small collection of family movies.
There is wifi and phone reception.
There are no shops nearby so you will need to bring all your food with you. There is plenty of space to put boxes of food and a family sized fridge.

Castle Hill village is a quite place, no shops or cafes. There is a communal tennis court, playing field, playground, waterslide, river and bicycle pump track all within walking distance. Further afield there are endless outdoor activities.
