The Wadi Rum desert is a truly awe-inspiring destination. Uniquely shaped mountains rise vertically out of the pink desert sand, separating one dark mass from another in a magnificent desert landscape of strange breathtaking beauty !

The Bedouin people have lived in Wadi Rum and the surrounding area for centuries. The village of Rum has now grown as the only permanent settlement within the protected area, but there are still some Bedouin who still live far out in the desert. They move wherever the grass grows to provide food for their livestock.

I am a Bedouin who grew up in the desert, but I now live in Wadi Rum in order for my children to go to school. My mother is also no longer nomadic and lives in her traditionnal Bedouin tent in the edges of the village. It is in walking distance from some of the most popular sites in Wadi Rum like the Nabatean temple, Lawrence Spring and the great Jabal Rum.

We invite you to spend a night in my personal camp where my family used to live for 40 years. I spent all my childhood in this private desert area, I know every rocks and stories about this place. The respect of the traditional Bedouin way of life and the site's memory made me choose this place to establish my own camp.

The camp is located in the middle of the Wadi rum protected area, where you can enjoy the sunset. The camp is 9 km from the village, from there you can admire breathtaking views of the desert with the changing colors of the mountains lighted by the late afternoon sun. When the night comes, you will see billions of stars shining over your head. We will make a fire, share food and stories. When it's time to sleep, you can choose a tent, or prefer a mattress under the milky way.

This is a unique opportunity not only to sleep in the desert but also to learn about the traditions, culture and daily life of a Bedouin.
Jeep tours, camel treks, hikes and rock climbing are also available at request.

I'm a Bedouin from Wadi Rum and I grew up in a traditional Bedouin tent. My mother is still living a happy and simple life among nature, with animals such as goats, dogs and camels.

My personal camp is located in the sunset area, where you can enjoy an amazing view during the day and the brightness of the stars at night. The campsite is environmentally friendly, located in beautiful natural surroundings, made in a traditional Bedouin way.

I am happy to invite you to explore our Bedouin life and culture as well as to enjoy our traditional food with us.
