3,000 sq. ft. house in an upper-middle class neighborhood, 7 miles from the U of Kentucky and downtown Lexington; 5 miles from the airport and Keeneland. There is a small park across the street and a grocery store (Kroger) about half a mile away.

The space
Although listed for 16 people, that's an arbitrary number because it depends on your sleeping arrangements/needs. There are six proper beds, plus a cot-like pull-out ottoman, an air mattress, a baby crib, and multiple couches and recliners.

One television in a common area downstairs and another in the master bedroom, both with YouTubeTV and Netflix subscriptions, plus Roku (you can connect to your own streaming subscriptions). The internet speed is 500mps.

I've been a professor at the University of Kentucky since 2004, but I spend as much time away from Lexington as I spend in Lexington. I've been an airbnb host since 2013 and set up each location quite nicely, as if I'm going to live there myself. When in Lexington (and especially when there are breaks between guests), I'm constantly working on both maintaining and improving my properties and my guests' experiences with them.

During your stay

I live elsewhere so only end up crossing paths with guests once or twice a year. The cleaner/caretaker lives about six houses down on the same street, so she'll be close by if needed.
