The Old Barn has stone floors throughout and original beams galore. There is an open plan living/dining area with kitchen, and an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove to snuggle in front of.

There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both with high sloped ceilings, and a spacious shower room, and toilet.

Ideal for families looking for a true rural experience, and with it’s enclosed private garden area, is ideal for those with small children and/or dogs! (pet charges apply)

The space
The Old Barn is located within the grounds of the Grade II listed Thornden Farm, and nestled in 12 acres of the 1066 countryside. The Old Barn is just one of many of the farm's original outbuildings which have been lovingly restored to provide holiday accommodation. With many of the original beams still in place (and some you'll have to duck under!), stone floors, and a huge Inglenook with woodburner to keep you warm on those chilly evenings. The shower room is spacious with an electric shower. Both bedrooms have built-in wardrobes.

Within a five minute drive in either direction, you will discover two country pubs, with outdoor areas, children's menus and local beers. Just 45 minutes away is the town of Tunbridge Wells and The Pantiles - an open air promenade of Georgian shop buildings. Of course, the Sussex Coast is just a 15 minute drive with Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hastings and the beautiful town of Rye, just waiting to be discovered. The Old Barn offers a hidden haven for those seeking the tranquility of rural Sussex, the fresh salty air of the sea, or just an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
