Hello, I'm Michelle and I look forward to this journey of Airbnb. I joined in 2016, but have only recently been serious about hosting.

My home is located in the heart of the Lancaster County, Amish and is among the oldest in the area (circa 1747). Although I am still renovating portions of the home, that which is completed, is warm, welcoming and quite comfortable.

What I bring to the Airbnb experience, is a friendly, outgoing and creative personality. My work for the last 16 years had been in the non-profit arena. Recently, I've taken a 180 degree turn and have decided to pursue my dreams, my visions. Along with hosting in my home, I instruct art classes and work at a local art studio. My passion is seeing the creative within the mundane and bringing it to life, whether through art, writing, thought process or just simply dreaming. I am a dreamer, a visionary, an eclectic believer in possibilities, but always carrying an appreciation and a respect of the past.

My children are grown, one married and I welcomed my first grandchild in April 2018!

If you choose to stay at Providence House, my hope is that you'll sit awhile, reflect on moments past and receive vision for your future.
Be blessed!

During your stay

Hi, I'm Michelle, your host at Providence House!
I am a born Lancastrian and have lived here my entire life. You will find that I am quite knowledgeable about the area and it's Amish heritage as well as many of the sites to be seen and visited here and I look forward to sharing it with you.

I occupy a private section of the house that is not shared and I work independantly as an artist in my studio which is above the guest suite. Although I have a varied schedule and may or may not be home, I will make sure that you can always reach me and I will try my best to at least meet you!

No matter how much or little time you spend at Providence House, you arrive as a stranger, leave as a friend and return as family. :)
