Our cottage in my hometown of Port Hood faces the ocean and Port Hood Island. Keith and I want our guests to make themselves at home to enjoy the laid-back and friendly atmosphere of a Cape Breton beach community (5 beaches minutes apart). Spend your downtime enjoying nearby golfing at Cabot Links or Cabot Cliffs, a day at the beach, or hiking. Enjoy a meal (often with local entertainment in the summer) at The Red Shoe in Mabou and The Clove Hitch (minutes walk from cottage). More casual dining at the Admiral Tavern or Sandeannies Bakery and Tearoom. Immerse yourself in our local Celtic culture at the Celtic Music Interpretative Centre and at community ceilidhs. You can even join in at local square dances. You can't beat Cape Breton in the summer and fall.
