This is a comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood graced with Spanish Moss draped Live Oaks. It is walking/ bicycling distance from downtown Darien, historic squares, parks, and waterfront as well as shops and restaurants. Kayak and bike rentals are available close by.
The home is one hour south of Savannah and 30 minutes to the lovely beaches of Jekyll and Sapelo Islands. This area is certainly a birder's paradise!

The space
Frog Hammock has an open plan common area with a barstool counter in the fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and front and rear sitting/ living rooms. One bedroom has a private bathroom with a shower. The other two share a bathroom with tub off of the common area. There is a laundry room with washer/dryer. There is a screened front porch with a glider to enjoy the Live Oak.

Here is a private review we received.."We had a wonderful time and felt right at home. The "seclusion" was right there within the city limits. Lots of places to enjoy the wildlife and for fishing. The neighbors were friendly, but allowed us our privacy. We hope to live in or around Darien someday (after retirement). The art in your place was wonderful. The azaleas were beautiful. Thank you for sharing." Dolly and Edward

Where you’ll be

Darien, Georgia, United States

Darien is a charming historic town on the waterfront. The house is conveniently located for walking, bicycling, or driving to many places to sightsee, beach comb, bird watch, and eat local southern fare.

The house is located on a tiny street under the shade of a Live Oak tree and across from a family of friendly crabbers. You may ask to purchase some of their catch.

The St. Andrews Cemetery is but a few hundred yards away and is quite a beautiful place… an easy bike ride from Darien and Frog Hammock. It's a really great historic place to visit and guided trips can be arranged. Well worth the effort .
