This small studio is perfect for visitors who want a cheap, warm place to stay and use it as a base to explore the nature around Konitsa. It's not a spacious place (20 square meters) where many people can stay comfortable and spend many hours in it, but for 2-3 people who want to be outdoor, most of time active and have a small budget, is perfect
Not far from the house (from 5' to 1+ hour) you will find nice places like Zagori, Voidomatis and Aoos river, Vikos gorge and Smolikas mountain.

The space
The studio is 20 square meters big. It has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 radiators for heating, a bed of 1,20 meter size and a couch that can also become a bed.

Where you’ll be

Konitsa, Ipiros Ditiki Makedonia, Greece

The room is located in the town of Konitsa. 64 km away of Ioannina. Here you can get lost in the nature and find many tranquil places. Aoos river is 15 minutes away by foot from the house and is an ideal place for swimming in the Summer and relax under the Plane trees and sun. During the other seasons you can enjoy a nice walk and be surrounded by a big variety of colors and sounds... There is also Voidomatis River with the amazing color of the water as it is one of the cleanest river in the Balkans. It is a cold one. A good challenge to jump into it but it's totally worth it. You can also do Rafting there all year around. It's 13 km (15 minutes) away from the house
Not far from Konitsa (30-60 minutes) you will find the area of Zagori which consists of many small traditional villages with stone-built houses and the mountain of Timfi with the amazing limestone formations and Vikos Gorge.

Expect of Zagori you will find many traditional small villages around Konitsa like Mastorochoria that tourism has not arrived yet so much.

For the ones who want to do hiking there are paths starting from the bridge of Konitsa (Aoos river) and also there is Smolikas Mountain with its Dragonlake where you need half an hour driving to appoach the starting point.
For a little bit extra driving there are the options of Vikos Gorge and Timfi's Dragonlake (Drakolimni)

For some spontaneous reasons in my life, I learnt how to appreciate nature, how to take the most out of her physically and mentally and how to spend some meditating, relaxing but also energetic and full of action time in her.
