The space
Kuttanadu a place below the sea level surrounded by lakes and Rivers our Homestay has a river frontage you can enjoy a very good village life and a pollution free atmosphere .The wide verandah is as welcoming as the hosts are large and breezy the porch comes appointed with comfortable chairs netted swings and irruthi,the trademark seating style of traditional Kerala Architecture.Dine while enjoying the serene views of the flowing river.Your rooms located on the first floor are neat and and spacious comfortable well facilitated and affordable. The windows are large opening out to picture perfect views of the surroundings.
The Hosts a Father son Duo are extremely helpful and generous. while the son will help you out with all things fun and travel related. The father is an excellent cook who would delight you with exclusive Malabar delights the spicey fish fries the coconut lader gravies of chicken the hot steamy rice and delectable vegetable stews coupled with the everyday delicious like dosa, appam,and idly will surely leave your taste buds tantalised. The food is prepared from farm fresh ingredients.
There is a host of activities that the place offers you float along the narrow winding canals of the backwaters on a vallom ( country boat ) as the last rays of the sun seep in through the dense foliage on either side enjoy the breeze and the views of country side as your cruise on the silent waters.Enjoy the houseboat rides without which a trip to this part of Kerala is indeed an incomplete one. Take walkthrough nearby villages and get an insight into the humble and local ways of life.Enjoy the rustic life with the activities like fishing, paddy field visits and the cycling through the muddy country lanes If you happe to visit during the harvest festival of Onam you would also get to witness the celebratory mood of the region and the fascinating snake boat rides.
