Spacious, cozy apartment in a 350-year-old fisherman's house, 4 km from the centre of Hörsching. The listing is suitable for singles, couples, small families, guests traveling with dogs, transit travelers, cyclists, etc.
The decor is simple, but there is everything you need. The house has no central heating and is only inhabited by Airbnb guests.
We ourselves keep some sheep and use the flower, fruit, and vegetable garden.

The space
The room is heated with a stove. On the day of arrival the accommodation is warm, during the stay it is necessary to heat yourself. Sufficient wood is prepared. The correct operation of the oven will be explained to each guest upon arrival. Handling is easy, every guest must follow the user manual.
Spiders - we strive to make sure every guest has a clean place to stay. In a 400-year-old building, it can still be that small spiders emerge from the wall cracks. Therefore, our house is not suitable for those who have absolute intolerance to spiders.

Walking trails lead directly away from the house to the nearby Traunau.
Rudelsdorf, however, is located in the central area of Upper Austria, and there are several large commercial enterprises in the immediate vicinity. Some guests are a little irritated when they arrive by the many company settlements along the main access road, but the place itself still has a village character.
The distance to Linz and Wels is about 15 km, i.e. 20 minutes by car. Due to the central location, Rudelsdorf is well suited as a base to get to know Upper Austria a little closer.
Car traffic, railways and businesses, etc. lead to an average noise pollution, especially during the day. The house itself is quiet and the courtyard is largely shielded from wind and environmental noise.
During the summer months, groups use the courtyard every fortnight to sing and drum. Duration approx. one and a half hours. Guests are invited to join us. Conversely, as a guest, they can also invite friends or relatives and use the courtyard, which is partly covered.

We are married, have three adult children and are already retired.
We have already used Airbnb ourselves and want to offer this possibility in our house.

During your stay

We live nearby and are easily accessible if necessary. We usually come by once a day briefly to feed the sheep.
Guests always include their phone number with inquiries. Airbnb is suppressing this type of data sharing (hidden by Airbnb) as long as it's not booked. It is also not possible for us to pass on our telephone numbers. A telephone contact prior to the reservation is therefore impossible. However, we will answer all written questions immediately.
For inquiries, we ask for short information about the reason for your trip, the number of people, etc. The reason for this is not because we are so curious, but in order to be able to estimate whether your expectations are reasonably in line with what is required.
Limit:
The accommodation has 2 beds and a futon, so the space is sufficient for a maximum of 2 adults and one child. Unfortunately, we have to reject requests for accommodation for additional persons (with the exception of babies).
