The cottage is an old house that has been completely renovated with taste, highlighting the original materials: beams and exposed stones, stone floor. It has two large rooms on the ground floor : a living room with sofa and armchair and a dining room with an adjoining kitchen. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with king size bed and spacious bathroom facilities.

The space
The cottage is located in Burgundy between La Charité sur Loire and Clamecy, near the Loire Valley. The particularity of this site lies in its history which is that of an ancient Cistercian abbey of the 12th century. Only a 17th century building remains today surrounded by commons and a one hectare park, part of which is reserved for you. Guests can enjoy views of the forest and grazing cows on the meadows.

Where you’ll be

Saint-Malo-en-Donziois, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, France

From our house you will be able to discover a preserved region with varied bucolic landscapes and sparse charming villages. The region has many hiking trails with striking and contrasting views (foothills of the Morvan, Canal du Nivernais to name just two).
Browse the renowned Sancerrois and Pouilly-sur-Loire wineries and enjoy tastings with friendly winemakers of our knowledge.

The many castles of different eras will take you from the Middle Ages to the 18th century.
In particular, we advise you to visit Guédelon Castle, which passionate builders build with medieval methods and tools.
The historic spectacle of the Château de Saint Fargeau delights young and old every year around a sound and night light.

As you will have understood, our region has wonderful treasures, both rural and cultural.
