Ocna se Sus (Felsősófalva):

This little hungarian village has an old history. It is mensioned even in 1493 as Soofalva.
It is settled 32 km away from Odorheiu Secuiesc and 3 km away from Praid.

Sights in the Village!

Reformed church – was built in the 13th - 14th century in gothic style.
Primary School – it is named even in 1565. The present building was built in 1880. In the 20th cencury three more roomes were built to it, because the number of the school-children was more than 400. Unfortunately this number is descending since then.

World War Memorial:
There is a fortification around the church. In front of the fortification you can see a War Memorial made from stone in remembrance of the soldiers who died in the first and second world war. There is a woman and a man who are very sorry for the soldiers.

Community Centre: It was built in 1950. Here is stages every year (third week of July – since 1995) the famous dancecamp, where you can learn the local national dance.

Village Museum:
From the centre of the village to the east along the main road you can see the oldest building (family house), which was built in 1700. It is interesting that the house has two outdoors (in front and in the back). In the past when enemies came the inhabitants could escape on the backdoor.
