A living part of Ballarat's rich architectural and industrial history, this Heritage listed, multiple level warehouse conversion combines old world charm, and modern sleek living, for a truly memorable stay. Whether it be for a romantic getaway, family trip, friendly group retreat, this home caters to all your holiday needs.

The space
Hi! I'm Amy, and welcome to my home away from home. This unique property was once part of the Sunshine Biscuit Factory, and since being made a heritage listed building, it is now one of the last standing buildings from that estate. This space really does bring a touch of warmth and luxury to any escape. I love getting away from Melbourne to enjoy the slower paced vibe out here and the historical feel of Ballarat town. When I’m not there myself, I enjoy sharing my home with wonderful visitors like yourself!

Split across multiple levels, the open plan living spaces, allow guests to mingle across the home with ease. I love being able to chat into the lounge and dining room as I cook. This home allows for a truly shared experience for friends, family or colleagues. However when you need that moment to yourself, simply retreat upstairs, or onto the outside deck, to unwind.

The space has a projector, large projector screen and surround sound for those cosy movie nights in, and the high walled private decking area, complete with six burner range hood BBQ, is perfect for the summer months! If you want a little separation from the kids, they will love being able to play upstairs, while the adults socialise on the ground level.

In the winter months the ducted heating system warms the house wonderfully. Being an open plan house, the upper sleeping level gets very toasty! There are blankets all through the house, but I always suggest bringing slippers and dressing gowns in winter, as Ballarat can be chilly in general.

Please note the upstairs open plan sleeping level has one queen bedroom with a closing door, and then a very long corridor separating the main queen bedroom to the single beds room, thus creating privacy without doors.
The stairwells are fitted with safety gates, if you need extra safety for small children.

Ballarat East, Victoria, Australia

The property is located on a quiet, tree lined street close to the centre of town. It is a 2min walk to Coles supermarket, takeaway food restaurants and the bottle shop. It is a 5min walk to the Bakery Hill mall, with retail shops of all kinds, for your shopping pleasure. If you walk another 5min you reach the main drag of Sturt Street which hosts famous attractions such as Her Majesty's Theatre, historical museums and gold mining era architecture. Only a few minutes drive away is the most iconic attraction of Ballarat; Sovereign Hill. A must visit for the whole family! I could go on, but best you explore openly when you stay!
