Our location is one of the best fishing destinations for both open water and ice fishing seasons because each of our cottages are just steps away from Moosehead Lake!

Cottage six offers a cozy and comfortable, studio-style living space. Everything you need is at your fingertips. This area is outfitted with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom with a standup shower. Our heat source is a thermostatically controlled propane monitor heater.

Joe and Misty are your hosts at Misty Morning Cottages (formerly Sundown Cabins) in Rockwood, Maine.

Joe has vacationed in Rockwood, Spencer Bay and Beaver Cove for almost two decades. He grew up fishing with his grandfather and dad, and has fished many of Maine’s great lakes and the offshore Atlantic. He is the captain of the F/V November Gale, a commercial diver, 1st class Naval welder and moreover, father of 3.

Misty is Joe’s helpmeet, blessed mom of 2 and is the founder of Year Round Homeschooling. Misty loves to write, read, listen to music and dabbles in photography in her “spare time”.
