Welcome to a quiet, sparkling clean studio apt complete with a private outdoor area, laundry room & shared pool deck. The apt is professionally cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival for your comfort and safety. Enter this daylight basement apartment near the pool and watch beautiful sunsets from there or come upstairs and share our deck. Feel free to enjoy the pool seasonally.

The space
You'll find a lovely, comfortable studio apartment waiting for you. Your well-being and comfort is high priority. The wallbed holds a pillow-top double mattress and down pillows. There is a futon in the living area that is also super for relaxing or sleeping. It folds down into an extra double bed when needed. The 50" TV is complete with a high definition sound system and free Netflicks. High speed internet - oh yes.

A separate, fully stocked kitchen has 50's charm. Coffee, tea, and other drink options are always available. Continental breakfast is provided for short stays. All appliances work and you will have cookware, dishes, silverware, and everything you'll need if you choose to eat in. This includes a blender, toaster, rice cooker, and ovenware. The bathroom has a shower and is stocked with toiletries to make your stay easy.

A free, shared laundry room is adjacent to your apartment. An iron and ironing board are located here. Convenient parking for one car is in our driveway.

An awesome, in ground pool gives opportunities for swimming. While you are enjoying the yard and pool, you might get to see an eagle flying overhead or hear seals barking. There are often hummingbirds in the yard. Sunsets are as awesome as in the pictures! Please be aware that there is no lifeguard and use of pool is at your own risk. This studio is not recommended for young children unless parents will be watching them at all times when they are outside. The stairs leading down to the apartment are in view of the pool and might be challenging for those with difficulty walking. The unit is in the lower level of the house. It is totally self contained and has a separate entrance.

Located midway between Brown's Point Lighthouse Park in Tacoma and Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, a hilly walk of 1 - 1.5 miles will get you to either location. The Aquatics Center of King County is 5 miles away. Explore downtown Tacoma, which boasts the WA State History Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Museum of Glass, Tacoma Dome, the Theater District, Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, LeMay Car Museum, and Foss Waterway Seaport, just 10 miles. Or, visit Mt. Rainer, Seattle or other numerous attractions. Of course, there are coffee shops close by, as well as a variety of restaurants.

Nearby universities include University of Washington - Tacoma and University of Puget Sound.

Guests are welcome to share sunsets with us from the upper deck or the pool deck. Your happiness is our priority! As far as socializing, we are totally flexible. Guests who wish to be on their own are welcome to do so. However, we enjoy sharing information about the area and socializing with those who wish. We live above the studio apartment and are readily available to provide personalized service to make your stay special.
