In beautiful countryside, this is a newly built cottage on the site of our old Tractor Shed close to our farmyard. Comfortable & cosy. Wander around our farm & garden. Excellent local pubs. Watch the stars. Fantastic place to chill. Organic farm and we sell our own grass fed Red Poll beef and eggs from our wandering chickens.

The space
A modern rebuild of our old Tractor Shed on our organic farm, deep in the county of Wiltshire and near to Stonehenge, Salisbury, Bath and the south coast. If you like the countryside, you will like it here! There's lots to do tourist wise in the area and fantastic walks nearby through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (official designation!).
The accommodation is very comfortable with a 5 foot double bed, ensuite shower room, living room with kitchen area and outside terrace. It has underfloor central heating so is cosy throughout the winter.
We have a herd of Red Poll cattle here and chickens roam freely in our fields, barns and woodland. If you like fishing, we have our own trout lake for your use at an extra charge of £30 per half day. If you are part of a bigger party than 2 people, we also have a 3 double bedroomed apartement and another 1 bedroomed one in our lovely garden. We also have bed and breakfast in our 17th century farmhouse. We are busy with the farm and animals but enjoy welcoming guests to this magical spot.
If you want to eat out, there are several excellent pub restaurants within 5 miles and Shaftesbury with its many eating places and markets is just 6 miles away.
Unfortunately, being right out in the countryside means you need your own transport though there is a main line from London train station at Tisbury 3 miles away.

Cools Farm is in the depths of the Wiltshire countryside. Lots of people pass down to the West Country on the A303 and miss out on this beautiful area. Yet, we are very accessible 4 miles south of A303 and 3 miles from mainline station at Tisbury. We love looking after our cattle and living in a lovely C17th stone farmhouse. We enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with interesting guests.

Once a teacher but now a completely new life at retirement age helping my husband, Quentin, with the family farm in beautiful Wiltshire - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have a herd of Red Poll cattle here on our organic farm and our chickens of varying breeds wander around the garden and farm. Our house was built in about 1620 and is full of atmosphere. Farming in the UK on about 180 acres (70 ha) is not really profitable so we have Bed and Breakfast in the farmhouse and self catering in the Old Piggery in the garden. We have recently rebuilt the old Milking Parlour and Tractor Shed which we let also for self catering. We love welcoming guests from all parts of the world and especially enjoy telling them about our Red Poll cattle and how Grass Fed Beef is much better for you than corn fed! We enjoy sharing the farm and visiting children often collect eggs in the morning and Quentin is happy to show people around the farm. We also have a small house in France which we let through Spring and Summer. It doesn't have central heating so is not really suitable for winter lets. Our farmhouse, on the other hand, is cosy in winter with its new roof and the new build self catering has underfloor central heating. Grandchildren visit often so you might get to know our wider family as well.

During your stay

You can be very private or chatter with us as you wish. We often show our visitors around the farm where we have a herd of Red Poll cattle. We sell our own meat, so you can order some in advance if you wish. We usually have eggs for sale and our chickens wander everywhere!
