We have 4 beautiful Shepherd's Huts in the gardens of our Old Rectory, 3 miles from Borris. Each hut is decorated in rustic style & contains a comfy double bed. Guests may use our state of the art Eco Centre, kitchen & bathroom for washing and cooking. Breakfast provided! We have recently been selected as one of the 100 best places to stay in Ireland (Irish Times Magazine June 3rd 2017 ).Gold accredited Eco Centre, certified to G.S.T.C. standard.

The space
The huts at Killedmond are very special. We have two huts located about 20 metres apart from each other that are available to let together or separately(see listing for our Green Mountain Hut) The huts are traditional shepherd's huts and contain a double bed, some vintage furniture and a lovely view across the meadow.The huts are fitted with lights and heating The setting is very tranquil and quiet. The huts are located in the grounds of The Old Rectory, a Victorian home. We have converted a barn space into a contemporary shared space complete with wet room, bathroom and toilets as well as an open plan kitchen space with long dining table and magnificent views out into our water garden. Guests staying in the huts may use this barn to wash and cook. It is about 100 metre walk to the barn from the huts along an old beech tree lined avenue which is lit up at night. Breakfast is provided for guests to help themselves to in the barn in the morning (bread, fruit, eggs, butter, bacon, teas and coffee). Help yourselves,and on cool mornings sit around the wood burning stove and relax !!

We live under the beautiful Blackstairs Mountains. Your hosts are professional walking and foraging guides and there is scope to book a tour with them, for further information please visit (URL HIDDEN) There are plenty of outdoor pursuits in this unspoilt part of Co. Carlow. There is lots of cycling, kayaking and walking locally. Borris village is only 4 km away and is home to some wonderful pubs, tearooms, restaurants. If there is something you are particularly interested in doing, please ask us! We may be able to arrange it.
