In a beautiful setting by a lake, within a sports complex with 3 swimming pools, a skate park, balls and racket sports facilities, after a strenuous day you will appreciate the simple comfort of the bamboo camp bed you will sleep on.

The space
This portable bed is the way the Khmer people camp, get together outdoors, relax or nap. You will experience a unique sensation and marvel at how simple life can be.

The dorm is in the extension of the ground floor of a wooden house that belongs to the school. The large hall is the staff room and the office. The extension at the back is a dorm that houses short term volunteers who come to help at the school. One bathroom is attached to the dorm, another one is in the hall next to it. The house style in local, wooden on top of a concrete ground floor. The bathrooms are basic though modern and clean.

Seametrey Leisure Centre is located on the shore of a beautiful lake called Tonle Bati. On the opposite side there is a famous 13th century ruin contemporary of the Bayon temple in Angkor and built by the same king, Jayavarman VII. You will enjoy fresh air and beautiful sunrise and sunset.

My goal in opening the guesthouse is to support the school I have founded to provide quality education to Khmer children. I have four grown up children, have been a widow for nearly three years now. During your stay

Ryno and Lestari who live on site will be happy to assist you. They both work at the school during the week and help manage the Leisure Centre at the weekends. Lestari is in charge of the nursery toddler section and Ryno is a swimming instructor and a landscaper. They are both excellent cooks.
Apart from this South African/Indonesian couple, volunteers from Europe and a few Khmer staff and their families live on site as well. This means during a weekend, you will live a unique and authentic community life and go away with memorable experience.
