Ten minutes drive from Kissamos this is a single self contained modern apartment with double bedroom, bedroom with bunk beds, shower room and kitchen/living area. If you are looking for somewhere totally away from the turmoil of every day life, this is the place for you. The only other people here are Sue and I (and our dog, Eddie)

However, Kissamos is close by and has everything you will need for shopping or eating out and also we are close to the popular beaches of Falasarna and Balos.

The space
This single, modern, self contained 35 sq metre apartment has everything you will need for a comfortable stay. It is located underneath where we live and has its own private access and outside area for relaxing and eating.

We are legally registered for short term letting and comply with all the necessary regulations dictated by the Greek Authorities.

The kitchen area has basic cooking facilities with 2 hot plates, microwave, toaster and kettle. A fridge with small freezer compartment is provided to keep your food fresh for when you need it. Plates, cups, glasses, pans and cutlery are all provided.

Outside the electric Weber BBQ is ideal for cooking grilled meats or fish.

Early and late in the season when the weather is more unpredictable, it is not recommended for more than 2 guests as there is only a small table for indoor eating.

The energy efficient building method and heating system makes this a comfortable place to stay all year round. This part of Crete is well worth exploring away from the heat of the summer.

Where you’ll be

Kissamos, Crete, Greece

Our house is reached by a rough track, about 1km from the main road, so a car is necessary. Although the track is rough it can be passed easily with care. Set amongst olive groves, during your stay you may only see the occasional farmer passing by going about his business.

Dave started working life as a Design, Craft and Technology Teacher and Sue was a primary school teacher.

After 6 years of teaching Dave decided to join the Royal Air Force as an officer and spent most of his time involved in software development. After 22 years service Dave had the opportunity to retire and follow the ultimate dream of building their own house and retire to somewhere warm!

Sue ultimately became the headteacher of a busy primary school.

Dave and Sue now spend their time looking after their home and rescuing things that others have thrown away....breathing new life into things others do not want. In 2017 they started AirBnB to share their peaceful haven with people who want to escape the busy world for a while.

Life is not a rehearsal....don't dither, do it, for those that dither DON'T!!
