Brand new oceanview villa at Maratua Guesthouse with wide open views of the Celebes Sea. Room comes with double bed, air con, ensuite bathroom, and balcony complete with hammocks for lounging. Watch turtles come up to feed on the sea grass in the morning. We also have Lake-View and Jungle-View Villas with fans. We are the first full-service guesthouse on Maratua Island on 12 acres of beachfront property.

We are an ecological guesthouse on the remote island of Maratua. We are off the grid, which means that we run on generators and catchment water. You are in a beautiful tranquil spot when you stay with us on Maratua Island.

Maratua is a remote island one and a half hours by speedboat from Tanjung Batu. There are 4 small villages on the island and the rest of the island is jungle. We are in the jungle on 12 acres of beautiful, untouched land.

We have a traditional wood house in Cherating, Malaysia. We are a traveling family of 4 with 2 children. We've lived in Malaysia, the United States and New Zealand.

We enjoy playing board games like Dominion, Settlers of Caton and Carcassonne and we have many board games for you to enjoy in our home. We love the beach in Cherating and enjoy walking to the river and then ending the day at Mazlam's Beach Bar.
