Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Seaview is one of 3 seaside villages which are located 15 minutes drive to Port Elizabeth city.
It is a safe neighbourhood and you are free to walk around alone or as part of a group, along with the locals who live and work here.
Seaview is located less that a 10 min drive from the N2, which is the national road linking Port Elizabeth and Cape Town making us the perfect starting or ending point for your travels along the famous Garden Route.
This part of the coastline is home to an abundance of bird life, fish, otters, whales, and dolphins. Pods of dolphins swimming past are an almost daily occurrence (did you know that Port Elizabeth is the bottlenose dolphin capital of the WORLD?) and a sight not to be missed. In the winter the bay is home to an ever increasing number of migrating Southern Right and Humpback whales, a truly spectacular sight and one that can be enjoyed from every window! The migrating whales are passing right by our homes as part of a 12000km journey, which culminates in them returning with their calves. There are not many places on earth where you can view this beautiful migration, but in Seaview you can do it over breakfast :)
The village of Seaview is located on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth, just a 12 minute drive from the edge of the city.
Seaview is popular with locals and visitors alike due to its friendly and relaxed atmosphere, stunning views, and its proximity to 4 sandy, unspoilt beaches. Our location makes it a perfect fishing and snorkelling spot too. The swimming gullies are safe, and we can advise you on the best time to swim and explore.

Raggy Charters operates all year and is ranked number 1 on Trip Advisor for Tours in Port Elizabeth.
Kragga Kamma Game Reserve is only 15 minutes away, gorgeous private reserve with cheetah and rhino as well as all the other favorites, zebra, giraffe, etc
Addo Elephant Park is a 45 minute drive from the house. The most fantastic national park teeming with elephant and other wildlife, including lion. Extremely affordable as Addo is a national park vs privately run reserve.
Pumba and Shamwari private reserves are both about an hour away and are considered among South Africa's best reserves.
Maitlands dunes are a must see when visiting PE - climb to the top for you very own selfie. Less than 5 min drive.
