This old primary school house has one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room and an open sleeping space on the second floor where you will find three double beds. The bedroom is on the first floor where you will also find sleeping sofa.

The space
The cottage is located in a beautiful and historical valley in Dýrafjörður where there used to be a small village which is mostly gone. Using the cottage as an base for couple days where you can take short day tours both to the south and west part of Vestfirðir is a great idea. There are many beautiful and exciting hiking tracks around the cottage specially Kaldbakur the highest mountain in Vestfirðir which you can see from the living room. From the cottage is only 100 meters down to the beach where you can enjoy the beauty of the mountains with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.
The cottage is equipped with new electronics with fully furnished kitchen.
The village Þingeyri is only 8km away from the cottage which offers a great swimming pool, sauna and a hot tub. There you can shop all the necessary food and drinks. In Þingeyri you can also book horse riding tours and rent bicycles in the summer months.
