Bling Banda at Watamu Beach Cottages offers loads of space, a private garden with forest view, it's own barbeque area and fully equipped kitchen. The design allows for good natural ventilation to keep cool on hot days. Sleep in late on a King sized bed, chill on the day bed or relax in the garden.

Take a short path to get to our pristine white beach in a minute, or enjoy a lookout point with amazing sea views.

Bling ranks as the best value for money in Watamu.

The space
It has a King size bed, dining and sitting areas done in a modern style. Perfect for couples just wanting to chill for a few days.

To keep the Banda cool it has a high ventilated roof and no glass in the windows.

Protection from insects and mosquitoes is by a large mosquito net encompassing the sleeping area.

The monkeys may visit so food must be kept in the food safe provided or the fridge.

There is unlimited WiFi.

We can arrange a cook if you want to chill 24/24.

I am a Nature Lover and believe the only way we as a human race can survive is by respecting our environment.

To pay the bills I consult to Entrepreneurship Programmes across Africa.

Our Watamu property is a member of the local environment protection group "Watamu Marine Association". As members we are required to demonstrate a commitment to preserve our incredible piece of Paradise, and for example these are some of the things we do:
- all plastic, aluminium and glass containers are taken to the WMA recycling centre
- all organic waste is composted on site and returned eventually to the gardens
- we allow the last remaining wildlife such as monkeys, bush babies, owls, hedgehogs, insects, geckos, snakes, monitor lizards and other creatures to visit us. The feral cats control the rodent population and our free range chickens eat scorpions, cockroaches and centipedes keeping these populations down. Wasps are encouraged that eat the larva of the millipede that in turn loves to eat the palm thatched roofs
- participate on beach clean up operations
- support local artisans and suppliers
- buy local fish and fruit
- harvest rain water
- pay our staff above the minimum wage

Our guests will have a chance to experience these initiatives when they visit us!
