As a Host, your calendar is your go-to source for all things reservations. It’s where you manage your availability, check your notes about upcoming stays, adjust your pricing, and more.
Because it’s so important for you to have this info readily accessible, we’re rolling out some of the changes we made to the desktop calendar last year to mobile devices. The updates simplify your calendar, reduce clutter, and give you powerful tools that can help you manage your reservations—and your hosting routine.
Find info at a glance
Previously, your calendar used a variety of colors, lines, and slashes to convey the status of different reservations. We’ve simplified the design to make it easier to read at a glance.
Your updated calendar displays reservations as follows:
- Current reservations appear as a solid color.
- Future confirmed reservations are outlined in black.
- Future pending reservations have a dotted black outline.
We hope the updates help you plan ahead, organize your turnovers, and identify opportunities to get more bookings.
Pick and choose what shows up
We know that Hosts sometimes want to use the calendar to zero in on specific info. That’s why we’ve added a feature that lets you show or hide key details, like nightly price, promotions, popular dates, and notes about upcoming reservations.
You can use this feature to focus on what matters to you at any given moment—and tune out everything else.
Get a better long-term view
Keeping track of your pricing history and upcoming schedule is an important part of your hosting routine. What did you charge last spring? Will December be busy? Answers to questions like these can help you manage your reservations with greater confidence.
On a desktop, the enhanced full-year view of your calendar lets you check on long-term availability, review past nightly rates, adjust future pricing and promotions, and more.
We’ve also changed how far out you can set your calendar availability to match all possible guest searches. Guests who like to plan ahead can find and reserve stays up to two years ahead of their trip.
All of these updates are intended to help you find the details you need when you need them, so you can continue powering your hosting routine successfully.
