Over 220 Years of Indigo Merchant Residence with Seasonal Vegetable and Fruit Harvesting Experience"Kaiwa no Sato" - Kaiwa NO SATO
- The ancient houses are blue mansions built in 1804 (1804), the glorious era of "blue".
The master house and sleeping floor (the barn that sleeps in indigo) were demolished due to aging, but the historic rooms and gardens are preserved so as to be able to withstand even a little at the time, and are used as farmers' lodgings.
The source of Tokyo Olympic Emblem Japan Blue, "Indigo", grew up in fertile land in the lower Yoshino River area, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa clan).
There are also ancient documents related to indigo that can be viewed. Enjoy a nostalgic moment and the charm of Japan Blue.
