I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto This house used to be one big guest house, but since this Covid19, I have stopped running the guest house and I started to live here with my wife and 2 kids. However I didn't want to quit so I left the good part. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the concept, The slope in front of the house is hard. There is stairs to go up, check online map before you book.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

「SOTOHAMA　HOUSE」は、小豆島屈指と称される夕陽の名所、三都半島の吉野地区にあります。部屋は１日１組貸切の小さなメゾネットタイプ。家主は隣接する平家に居住していますので、何かご用のある際には対応可能です。現在、もう一つ部屋を準備中です。準備中の部屋とはサンルームを隔てて鍵つきのドアでつながっていますが、専用玄関から出入りするプライベートな空間です。シャワーブース、ウォシュレット付きトイレ、簡易キッチン付き。庭にはテラス席も用意しております。吉野地区は高松へのフェリーが出ている池田港から車で7分ほど。市街地からはほどよく離れており、瀬戸内の昔ながらの風景が残る静かで小さな集落です。山と海が背中合わせの吉野は、近年移住者からも人気のある美しい地区です。目の前の吉野浜までは歩いて１０秒。天気が良ければ、通年夕陽を見ることが出来ます。海へと伸びる桟橋で夕陽を見ながら、旅のひとときを過ごしてみてはいかがでしょうか。現在、0歳の子を育てながらホストをやっております。チェックインや部屋の案内など、無人で対応する場合がございます。ご了承の上ご予約ください。

t takes 3 hours from Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. You can see a totally different aspect of the city side of Japan. Green mountains, clear river, Firefly, many stars, rice field, Vegetable field. The house is a beautiful nature. And also we have good neighbors. You will see the real Japanese countryside that is not written in the guidebook.
