Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 6, 2023

These Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms and Conditions (“Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms”) govern your use of Airbnb Rebooking Credit on the Airbnb Platform. Your use of Airbnb Rebooking Credit and the services available via the Airbnb platform shall be subject to Airbnb’s Terms of Service and Payments Terms of Service (collectively, “Airbnb Terms”); if you see an undefined term in these Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms, it has the same definition as in the Airbnb Terms. To the extent that these Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms conflict with the Airbnb Terms, the provisions of the Airbnb Terms shall apply.

Overview

As part of AirCover, when a Host cancels your reservation unexpectedly or another travel issue disrupts your stay, Airbnb may issue you a Rebooking Credit to help you book another stay. Rebooking Credits: 1) expire 3 days after issuance, 2) are only valid for a stay with a check-in date within one year from the date the coupon was issued.

How It Works

The Airbnb Rebooking Credit may only be redeemed through the Airbnb platform on or before the expiration date. When you make your next booking, Airbnb Rebooking Credit can be applied during checkout and will reduce the cost of that booking by the applied amount. Airbnb Rebooking Credit cannot be used to purchase travel insurance on the Airbnb Platform. You are not required to apply the Airbnb Rebooking Credit to your next booking and may elect to apply it to a later booking prior to the expiration date. If less than the total available balance of your Airbnb Rebooking Credit is applied to a booking, the unused balance will remain and can be applied to a future booking prior to the expiration date.

Limitations

Airbnb Rebooking Credit may not be applied towards charges for changes to existing reservations, the purchase of travel insurance, or be used to purchase gift cards. Airbnb Rebooking Credit must be applied to a trip with a check-in date that is within one (1) year from the date the credit was issued. Airbnb Rebooking Credit cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law. Once an Airbnb Rebooking Credit is issued to an Airbnb account, its value cannot be transferred to another person or Airbnb account; an Airbnb Rebooking Credit balance may not be cashed out or transferred to another Airbnb account.

General Terms

You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for determining for your jurisdiction (i) the applicable tax reporting requirements and (ii) the taxes that should be paid in connection with the Airbnb Rebooking Credit. Where applicable, Airbnb may be required to account for VAT on any services for which the Airbnb Rebooking Credit is redeemed. In no event will Airbnb be liable for any special, incidental, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damages of any kind, even if we have been informed in advance of the possibility of such damages. In no event will Airbnb’s aggregate liability to you in connection with the Airbnb Rebooking Credit exceed the amount of the Airbnb Rebooking Credit.

Airbnb reserves the right to modify these Airbnb Rebooking Credit Terms at any time in accordance with this provision. If we make changes to these terms, we will post the revised terms on the Airbnb platform. We will also provide you with notice of material modifications by email at least thirty (30) days before the date they become effective. Use of any Airbnb Rebooking Credit after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.

Disputes

Any dispute or claim relating in any way to Airbnb Rebooking Credit will be resolved in accordance with the Governing Law and Dispute Resolution section of the Airbnb Terms.
