What you'll do

We will teach you how to milk a cow.
*At the beginning we allow you time to spend with the animals. Petting, brushing, or just hanging out with them.
*Next we take you through what we feed our animals and how we care for them. We can talk about what goes into the cleanliness of the process and getting everything ready.
*We will then go through the experience of milking the cow (whether by hand or with the machine, you decide). Allowing you to do as much of the work as you feel comfortable with.
*Afterwards we will strain the milk and get it cooled and clean up.
*Before you leave we will give you the opportunity to taste any of the products from our farm with the option to purchase milk at a 50% discount.
*Congrats! You will have milked a cow!

Charlie and I have been working on our Homestead for over 9 years and slowly making it into a producing Farm. We have been milking our cows for almost 3 years and keeping them happy and content. We love all of our animals and do our best to take care of our land. We love sharing our experiences and all that we have been given with others!!

We are in a quiet setting in the trees in the PNW forest. Just 30 miles from Portland and 20 miles from Mt. Hood we get to enjoy everything that nature has. We have our small farm with lots of animals and lots of room to wander. Mornings are gorgeous with the quiet and peacefulness all around. Evenings are great as well with all kinds of animal energy abounding. Especially when they get to meet new people and enjoy the extra treats they get.

This farm experience knocked our muddy boots right off. Charlie was a patient, hard-working host that made our trip so special. They were accommodating for our different comfort levels and put us right to work. The animals were a delight and learning about the work they do on the homestead was a treat. We left with a bunch of homemade goods they make too. I will book again.

We brought our two little kiddos this morning to the farm and a magical experience was had by all.Charlie was super welcoming and informative. We got to walk through the morning chores and help out which the kids loved.Highlights included holding a baby goat that had been born just hours before we arrived, milking Hazel the cow and holding kittens. We also got to sample the fresh milk and other products that had been made with the fresh milk as well.Would highly recommended!

This experience was truly phenomenal. Charlie is personable, knowledgeable, and so lively and kind. She made meeting the animals and learning about the farm understandable and interesting for the adults and our kiddo as well. It was so hands on, all the senses were firing! I’ve shared our story with many friends back home, such a valuable and authentic experience. Really incredible all around.

We had so much fun! There is a chance to hold a bunny, baby goat, chicken, duck (if you could catch one), kittens, and cats. we got to pet cows, goats, and dogs. If you love animals you will love this, all the animals are friendly. If you are nervous around animals there no pressure to hd or pet them at all. And of course milking the cow was amazing and the milk tasted so good.

This was a blast! In addition to the cow milking, we fed the goats and held some chickens, ducks, kittens, and a tiny newly-born kid. The experience felt very personalized and was well worth the early morning drive. Thanks for a great time!

This was an amazing experience! My friends and I had such a great time getting to milk Hazel and Siera the cow. Also the goats and dogs were a great highlight! Charlie was an amazing guide and we learned so much about the history of their homestead and all of their amazing animals. Plus all of the products they make are fantastic! I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling through Oregon we had a great time!
