What you'll do

You will meet me at my electric catamaran, Squid, under our HONEST ECO sign. If you do not see a time or date that works for you let me know! I can probably figure something out.
We will depart from the dock located at the Historic Seaport. We will then head out on the water to an area that I know which provides a year round home for about 200 wild Bottlenose Dolphins.
This is my moment to share the wonders of these marine mammals with you, while always operating my vessel in a manner that is safe and respectful of the dolphins and their need for space. With the right know-how I can usually find dolphins in under an hour and in calm waters. After observing the dolphins many different behaviors from the boat we will head to one of my favorite spots to snorkel with sponges, coral heads or a patch reef. I will take you to the best place with the best visibility that day. I'll be your guide, leading you around a calm snorkeling spot and point out animals that make our ecosystem unique and answer any questions that you have.
Other things to note
Check in at the HONEST ECO boat Squid.
The maximum number of guests I have on board is usually around 15 guests. I can take up to 24 guests on a private charter.

I founded and own HONEST ECO. With Kentucky bluegrass roots and a B.S. in Biology, I found a world with a blue sea too alluring to ignore. I arrived to Key West in 2005. Now I have 10+ years of experience studying Biology and being on the water in Key West with the dolphins. I now own a small business, HONEST ECO, with my wife and 2 young kids. we are trying to make a big impact by educating and leading by example. I worked with David Walworth, an MIT educated Naval Architect and Principal Engineer known for his high efficiency catamaran designs to help design and engineer the perfect boat for my guests and the environment. The family, moved west and spent the next year and a half of our lives building SQUID, from scratch! I'm very passionate about being respectful to the dolphins and the environment

We had such a wonderful time. The crew was very knowledgeable. Rachel was awesome!! She shared so much information with us, was very approachable, and just made the trip overall great. We learned a lot, saw many dolphins, went snorkeling, and enjoyed some yummy snacks. Do not miss out on the opportunity to book this experience!!

We loved our adventure on your solar powered catamaran. We lucked out with the weather, a beautiful calm day. Our group onboard also lucked out with what we saw: a shark, mother and baby dolphins, loggerhead turtle, lion fish, lots of fish, coral and sponges. The snacks were great! Great value! Highly recommend this biologist lead trip!

This is an awesome experience and well worth the cost. We were only in Key West for a day and all in my group agreed it was the best use of our time. Brady and Jacqueline were so fun and personable! We saw dolphins right away and had a great snorkeling experience then saw the sunset before docking. We also appreciated the small group size (12 total). They had fresh fruit and veggies and wetsuits and dry blankets for after snorkeling, very accommodating!
