Trastevere is often described as a village in the city of Rome due to its tight-knit community of local 'Trasteverini'. On this food tour we will join these locals as they go about their daily life, visiting market stalls and businesses which have been family-run for generations as well as some modern eateries that have taken the Rome food scene by storm.

Very very nice tour with Kate. We learned a lot in a short time about italian food and food habits, had a lot to eat, the icecream and the biscuits were amazing. Can be highly recommended.

This was a great tour! Kate is super knowledgeable about the regions and their various foods as she has been in Italy for the past 20 years and her husband is a chef! You can tell she is really passionate about food and teaching tourists about the history of Italy’s relationship to food. She told us great stories and gave us insider tips along with recommendations for finding the best places to eat in Rome. The tour felt super personal and we all really connected. She was really accommodating as she reached out to us ahead of time to ask for dietary restrictions, and she found vegetarian options for another guest in the group which was super kind! Kate is awesome and I’d definitely take this tour again!

This experience is an absolute must when visiting Rome! Jasmine was an amazing guide and she has such a beautiful relationship with the vendors that you will visit. They were so kind and happy to share their best goods with us to try. She was also accommodating of me since I do not eat pork products, and made sure that I had options at each spot that were delicious. Definitely let her know if any dietary restrictions ahead of time so that your day is smooth sailing!

Just… wow! What a fantastic evening with jasmine. Our whole family LOVED this tour - even the 13 and 14 year olds. Jasmine greets you immediately with so much warmth, you feel like family. Jasmine takes the time to get to know you and bring you into her community. The food stops were phenomenal… you meet the owners and feel like a local. I can’t recommend this trip enough - such a fantastic time!
