Great experience today 1/15/2022. I highly recommend using this group as they are very prompt and professional with all of the questions and inquiries I had. No need to second guess on this tour, not to be missed. Great value as well! Yeison is the "King" of the communa 13/cable car tour!

My tour guide was sebastian, a Comuna 13 local with good English. He met me on time at the location of the cable cars before taking me up the mountains and back down, then back up by bus. The real tour of Comuna 13 started off the bus, it was then he told a small group of us the history, the dark history of pablo escobar's reign over Medellin decades ago. The transformation began in all of medellin, the reality is pablo escobar owned the land, he had more power and money than the government which allowed him to rule and set his own standards. Eventually Pablo's fate spread throughout the country and allowed a new chapter in Medellin's transformation. The highlights of the tour is the graffiti and murals but each one of them has a meaning, a meaning about the transformation of Comuna 13. Having been the most dangerous area in the world just 30 years ago and now a safe tourist destination, the setting of the community's art is how the people were set free of tyranny and no longer divided.

Had a very nice afternoon tour with Sabastien as our guide. The group was a small size, perfect to fit in one cable car. Getting the tour from someone who is from Comuna 13 gave it an authentic feel. I enjoyed how vibrant the comuna was with lots of color, art, music, and dancing. The tour included trying authentic foods along the way and public transportation which made everything easy. Definitely recommend this tour!
