This park is very famous for its rich biodiversity and an expert local guide is required to spot the animals and plants while share natural history about them.

Hola,

I'm Mauro, the founder and certified naturalist tour guide of Official Guide Costa Rica with a great experience working in naturalist activities and animals sighting throughout Costa Rica.

I considere myself a passionate nature lover who enjoy learning and teaching about the CR's biodiversity to make people realize how important is nature conservation. My passion for CR's biodiversity has taken me to places I would have never been without and has blessed me with multiple encounters with endangered wildlife such as Pumas, Tapirs, Ocelots, Sea Turtles and many endemic bird species.

Besides, I'm known for having an eagle eye in the forest to spot animals that would be impossible to see by your naked eyes.

Join me in the search of wildlife.

This was a great experience, Mauro was very knowledgeable about all the facets of the park experience. He was incredible with how many things he showed us that we would have missed if we were just on our own. He was very good at explaining anything that we had questions about. Definitely 5 stars.

Completely worth having Mauro guide us through Mario Antonio. We arrived at the park early and wandered around by ourselves and did not notice ANY of the wildlife Mauro pointed out (except the monkeys crashing through the trees right next to the trail...those were hard to miss). He explained things well and took some excellent pictures of each creature we spotted. Highly recommended

Sign up for this guide. He was absolutely worth it! Thanks to him we were able to see over 15 different animals ranging from spiders to a mother sloth resting with her baby! It was a magical experience and after he dropped us off at the beach we met a couple that said they saw no animals at all but luckily for us we had Mauro’s eye to spot them all with his amazing telescope and insane photography skills. So grateful for how he made our trip to Costa Rica something we will never forget.

Mauro was amazing in his ability to find animals in what to me just looked like a wall of green. How knowledge was impressive. Spiders, caiman, sloths, monkeys and more.

This was an amazing experience! Mauro really knows everything about animals, insects, birds and plants. Without him, we literally would have spotted only two iguanas that were on the ground. With him, we spotted 4 SLOTHS, two spiders, lots of birds, a frog, lezards etc. The best thing is that he can take pretty pictures and send them to you to show off your discoveries to your friends and family. Without him, it's impossible to get pictures or souvenirs because sloths are really high up in the trees. I 100% recommend taking a tour with him if you're planning to go to Manuel Antonio National Park.
