What you'll do

We shall be offering the ancient practice of Meditation and Connection through Raw, Living Teas. We call this practice “Cha Dao” literally “The Way”
Guests can expect to sit in silence for 2 or 3 bowls of Ancient Tea, some of which are 50 years old. And then further bowls in conversation.
In Zen philosophy, Tea is the teacher of the heart, and invites one to connect with their own truth. A place of self acceptance, and self love.
Guests are limited to 8 to keep the intimate nature of the practice flowing.
Each guest is gently guided through the Meditation, drinking from a bowl provided for them, and them alone.
A simple reminder in the vast possibilities contained in the empty vessel.
Each session will last around 1-2 hours, depending on the guests willingness to explore.

I have been teaching and studying Tea, Qi Gong, Yoga and Meditation for over 30 years.
The practice of Tea is a practice to be shared, to be loved, to be enjoyed.
It can bring out the most profound shifts in ones self.
It would be an honor and a pleasure to facilitate this for those weary And inquisitive travelers of the hi desert.

Simon and his wife Kelly have converted their garage into a full time Meditation and Ceremony Space.
The walls are a clean white, the floor a warm dusky desert pink.
The decor reminiscent of Morocco, India, and Tibet.
4 large patio doors open up into the vast desert that lies beyond our property.

This is a meditative experience that is great for the soul. We could change the world by sitting with tea, communing with others, and showing appreciation for the simple act of giving and receiving. Simon is knowledgeable and passionate about this Zen style tea ceremony. Definitely give it a try!

Didn’t really know what to expect from this experience but was pleasantly surprised. Simon is fantastic company to enjoy a cup (or bowl?) of tea with. Great conversationalist, teacher, and just an interesting person to spend time with to share a cup of tea with. Experiences like this help slow things down in our fast paced world 🌎

Simon’s space is an ideal nook for any fan of tea (or just simple conversation). His backstory is excellently fascinating and his attachment to tea culture is inextricable; He’s very welcoming and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and go!
