Trekking along Suspension Bridge

Granada, Spain

Experience hosted by Manuel Y Sonia

  1. 4 hours
  2. Hosted in Spanish and English

What you'll do

We will leave Granada in our car, in about 20 minutes we will arrive at the base of the Sierra Nevada National Park, it is the largest national park in Spain, where we will walk approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles),
On the way to the route we can see the Mulhacen, the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula with 3479 meters of height.
Since our opinion is the most beautiful and complete route of Granada, the route is divided into two parts. A part to walk right next to the river crossing a canyon, this is a fun way and crossed four hanging bridges, the largest of them is 65 meters, we will have to bend over and grab the rocks in some parts. This is a bit of fun and adventure, but very easy.
The other part will walk on the mountain, in this part the views are incredible. We will contemplate the city from the points of view. In the afternoon experience, we will stop at a viewpoint to watch the sunset. From our point of view, one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city, as we will see how the Sun hides behind the mountains and the city.

We are Manu. José and Ramon lovers of nature and hiking, always eager to show the beauty of the hidden places of Granada and their stories.
Although we know most of the trails in Granada, we are left with the trail of the Cahorros for its special charm, this trail extends through the base of the Sierra Nevada National Park.
In the afternoon, it has one of the most beautiful sunsets in Granada. Being able to see how the sun is hiding behind the mountains of Granada, is a unique charm

The hike was excellent. We had a chance to get into the Sierra Nevada mountains, which we wouldn't have been able to do otherwise because we didn't rent a car. My 5 year old completed it without any problems. Sonia was knowledgeable and fun. Would book again.

Great hiking experience! Easy enough to be taken by the novice. Sonia provided us with water and snacks that were very kind of her. I have a feeling that will return later to hike in the Sierra Nevada for a week or two. Sonia helped me to make a decision :)

Went with my husband and two young daughters ages 4 & 6 and we all loved it. The hike was adventurous for our kids and while not hard it had just enough exciting sections to it that made it super fun for them. Would highly recommend it!

This was one of my favorite experiences in three months of being in Spain. The views are beautiful and you get to feel like Indiana Jones for a little while trekking over the suspension bridges and through the caves. Sonia was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and kept a good pace while still allowing us breaks when they were needed. She also supplied water and snacks, which was really nice. When my phone died and I was unable to take more photos, Sonia took some for me and sent them to me afterwards. Also got to meet some other cool people during the hike. The experience is more than worth the cost, definitely recommended.
