What you'll do

We will use the public transportation to make all our trips between the different areas of the city and we will complement our tour with different walks that will lead us to better understand the transformation that the city has experienced in recent years.

Initially in our tour we will enter in Downtown Medellin; we will recognize it's history, it's culture, we will explore the most emblematic buildings, parks and squares, to finally taste a delicious cup of the world best coffee in one of the Medellin's most traditional places.

We will start our trip in the public transportation; first we will take the train to the Comuna 13, then we will transfer to the cable car that will take us over the houses to reach up one of the highest mountains of Medellin, there we will understand how the situation is in the highest neighborhoods and we will enjoy one of the best views of the city.

Then we will go to the famous Electric Stairs, a unique project in the world also located in the Comuna 13, previously one of the most dangerous areas in the city, we will talk about the incredible history and the transformation process that it's inhabitants experienced, we will make an urban tour full of magic and color framed by the greatest amount of graffiti in all Medellin, we will return to the train station and there we will have concluded our tour.

We are a great team made up of two brothers, we are Sebastian and Julian, both born and raised in Medellin. I'm 29 years old, I'm an architect, urban planner and passionate about Medellin, with my brother we have been fortunate to experience first hand the fascinating transformation of our city and go through all it's neighborhoods, that until a few years ago it was impossible to access. It's incredible to see how Medellin went from being the most violent city worldwide in 1991, to being today one of the reference cities in terms of urban planning and social innovation worldwide.

Julián was an excellent guide. He’s young but has deep knowledge on the history of his city. The tour itself is very holistic too, taking you through all the different areas of the city and using Medellin’s public transport system. 100% recommended.

This tour is a must-do in Medellin. Sebastian took a humanistic approach to storytelling, walking us through a day in the life of an average Medellin resident. The graffiti art wasn’t so much the highlight as was Sebastian’s thoughtful commentary on how Comuna 13 has evolved in the last two decades.

If you come to Medellín, you MUST do this tour!! 10/10 recommend. Absolutely fantastic way to learn about the city. Sebastian brings a well-informed + unique, urban-planning and architectural point-of-view to this tour. We got a fantastic overview of the ways the city has been transforming socially, politically, and culturally over the past 20-years. As a student of landscape architecture and city planning, I really appreciated Sebastian’s insights. Of course, he was also friendly, flexible, and intelligent.

This tour was amazing! Not only did we get to see Comuna 13 but we got to see so much of Medellin in a way we would’ve never explored ourselves. The information we received and stories we were told were priceless. The tour is a must! Thank you Sebastian

If you are thinking about this tour, BOOK IT. The price is worth it. You come away with a sense of understanding of the history of the city, perspective of the people, and how this city is going to grow in a positive way in the years to come. Oh and some gooooooooood food along the way too. I have already recommended this tour to 5-6 people, including some people who live here.

Sebastian has a lot of passion for what he does. This is a great tour to understand the city's transformation through an urban design perspective.
