What you'll do

I will take you to explore one of the seven wonders of the modern world Chichen Itza in a unique experience. Before we will pass to the center of Valladolid and after knowing the archaeological site I will take you to know an authentic Mayan cenote, beauty of nature full of mysticism. At noon you will enjoy a delicious buffet of regional Mexican food with vegetarian options.

Once in Chichen Itza, we will walk through the observatory, the Temple of the Warriors and the Ball Court. And you will see the legendary Kukulcan Pyramid, also known as El Castillo, from the front, and I will tell you how during the equinox on a clear day, a snake slides down the stairs of the pyramid, which is actually a shadow created by the setting sun . You will live closely the mysteries of acoustics in its architecture, which to date are not fully understood. You will clearly hear a whisper 159 feet (46 meters) away on one of the platforms on the colossal ball court where the Maya played sports.

With this exclusive tour, your visit to Chichen Itza allows you to explore the archeological site in an exclusive and unique way!

Had a fun day overall! I did feel as if there was too much squeezed into the day. We only spent 30min at Valladolid anyways which did not grant any time to see the town. There was a lot of focus on shopping when we arrived at the Mayan lunch, which was OK. The time at the historic Chichin Itza site was nice, my partner & I split up from the group as our group was very big. Ane we only had 1hr at the cenote, which was a quite popular location filled with people. I like to choose Airbnb experiences because of their focus on small group sizes & personal attention, an experience different from those of huge touristic tour buses full of people. Unfortunately, this was NOT what I have come to expect from an Airbnb experience though. Overall our guides were great, friendly & informative & I am happy to have done the experience, but I caution you to choose differently if you prefer more unique tours.

There were parts for English speaking folk which were okay but lacked detail, story telling and had little engagement. The majority of the other parts were predominantly focused on Spanish speaking folks. The lunch is horrible I wouldn’t have it for free. There was no tequila tasting and I felt like this whole thing was a waste of money.

Absolutely enjoyed doing all these activities in one day, especially the Cenote tour. Visiting Chichen Itza and learning a little bit more about the story behind it was really great! Also, the tequila testing was very good. Especially the mango one!! Thanks to our guide, Marco, who has super funny and attentive! We enjoyed learning from him. Thank you!!

The trip passed smoothly. Our guide Marco is experienced guide who made the trip very interesting with a lot of stories related to the trip and the great excursion in Chichen Itza. I’ve found out a lot of things which are not written in books .I would recommend to choose this trip . The food in buffet was good , soft drinks aren’t included . The bus was comfortable. The trip was organized the way that we were few steps behind other groups what gave us a chance to feel the place without a lot of tourists around . Thanks a lot for the day , Marco !

Met some great people, enjoyed the history, and visiting the ruins. However, I did not like that the tour guide and each place you stopped at was constantly trying to sell you something. I felt like we spent more time at vendors than at the actual sites. The group size was much, much larger than I expected. Bring snacks because you eat the buffet around 10:30 am and then don’t get back until 8:30/9pm

Our tour guide was Freddy, it’s clear he’s very passionate about his job. He’s truly an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about chichen itza and cares deeply about preserving Mayan history and culture. It’s a great tour, food was included and you get to immerse yourself in Mayan culture for the day. It’s a very strict schedule, my friend and I didn’t mind until we wanted to swim in the cenotes for more than 30 minutes. I would recommend this tour to everyone, Freddy is cool just a little impatient and has some attitude when you need an extra minute or two.
