What you'll do

Happy to introduce the early morning Light Show Event! During the FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS in Amsterdam (from December 2 to January 23, 2022), international artists light up the city and present their works in the city center. Hundreds of designers and architects submitted their ideas, and 20 works of art were selected.

This year we offer a special 90-minute morning light show boat cruise. Join us and enjoy a stunning view of the open-air art exhibition, with coffee, tea, and muffins. We follow a special route to see the best of the Light exhibition.

The Festival of Light is one of the top 10 winter festivals in Europe
—The Guardian

We sail in a heated boat from 1928 with a silent electric motor. The ideal boat for exploring the canals of Amsterdam. The boat has a sunroof, sliding windows and open aft deck. Want to sit outside, make sure you wear (warmer) clothes suitable for the weather.

See you soon on board!

I went on this experience hoping to familiarize myself with Amsterdam on the first day of my vacation here; it was so much better than I could have hoped! Captain Dave was friendly and knowledgeable about the city, going out of his way to help me get acquainted! His boat was not only a piece of floating history, but insanely comfortable as well! Cozy, warm, and stuffed with amenities to make your time on the water enjoyable. Then, to top it all off, he dropped me off right at the Rijksmuseum for a later appointment I had! Truly one-of-a-kind service!

It was an amazing experience, we really recommend it if you are staying in Amsterdam for a weekend. As it is an early tour you can enjoy the canals with no traffic and with plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. The breakfast served on board was delicious too.

One of the best activities I did in Amsterdam with my boyfriend! Captain Dave was very friendly and provided us with historical content on the city as well as with personal stories revealing the hidden side of Amsterdam… We had to get up early but it was really worth it! We were completely alone on the canals so we could really enjoy this magic gateway! Very comfortable boat and great coffee & croissants! Thank you, Captain Dave!
