The Cooper's Daughter Distillery Suite is on the second floor of a farmhouse with a tasting room onsite serving delicious local drinks. Take in the beautiful panoramic views from the windows and unwind on the private porch any time of day. The suite is located on the second floor of the farmhouse and is filled with natural light. Every windows has a unique and beautiful panoramic view of either the red barns, waterfall, cornfield, or creek. The suite has its own private entrance with a private porch. The breakfast room is equipped with a toaster oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, and mini fridge. The mini fridge is stocked with natural yogurts, water, sparkling water, milk, and almond milk. We also provide fruit, granola, organic coffees, and teas. The bathroom has more than just the standard amenities with both a rainfall shower and a claw-foot tub. We provide lavender and Himalayan pink bath salts, bath bombs, natural lotion, and gentle makeup removing wipes. Bathrobes can also be found in the closet. This spa-like bathroom is the perfect place to unwind with a book and a cocktail. There’s a Roku TV with Netflix and some other free channels. If you are 21 and older, we have bottles of our farm-made spirits available for sale. To have a bottle waiting for you upon arrive, send me a message for details. There's also a cocktail bar on-site serving NY wine, beer, and cider. The tasting room features a gourmet grilled cheese menu and cheese plate. Join us for a tour of the distillery and cooperage on weekends or by appointment. A local artist, Virginia Cantarella, is using the space as a showroom. She is a nationally recognized illustrator, and has been painting for the last 20 years. She is also included in Cynthia Dantzic's book: 100 New York Artists. The Suite is located on a property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. One of two toll houses left in Columbia County is on the property, along with a historical barn. The house itself was lived in by Jacob R. Van Rensselaer, who was a politician, federalist, and commanded troops during the war of 1812. He also had a cooperage and distillery. We are currently making limited releases of seasonal spirits such as Black Walnut Bourbon, Smoked Maple Bourbon, Cacao Maple Vodka, Lilac Liqueur, Black Walnut Liqueur, Rhubarb & Honey Vodka, Buddha’s Hand Citron Vodka, Ramp Vodka, and Apple Brandy. Guests enter through the front door, which faces the main road. The red barns are directly across the road from the entrance. My family and I will able to answer any questions you have during your stay. Hudson was recently listed as one of the ten best small cities in America and has a selection of antique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Go for a tour of local wineries, distilleries, and breweries and hike at the Won Dharma Center nearby. There are taxis, uber, and lyft available to and from Hudson. The suite is kept completely pet free, but we do have a dog and two cats in our part of the house.
