Our house is in Cedros village, about 20km from Horta, with a spectacular sea view, and São Jorge and Graciosa islands visible on the horizon on clear days. The "nipple" of Pico island is often visible through some trees. It is the last house in a road up the mountain, 200m above sea level. The whale watching boats frequently criss-cross in view of our house. The 6000 sqm grounds include a barbeque feature usable even in rainy weather, lawns, cistern, orchard and about 350 cryptomeria trees.
