The quiet and solitude you are looking for is here. Moon Valley Lodge is a unique and tranquil getaway located in the rolling hills of Jo Daviess County just west of Apple Canyon Lake and only 24 minutes to the historic, tourist destination of Galena. This 3 bed, 3 bath guest house is decorated in what we call rustic farmhouse. Lots of wood was used for trim and to build several pieces of furniture and furnishings are farmhouse style with rustic accents. We said it was unique!

The Van Volkenburg Guest Room, with private bath, is available on the main floor of the Guest House. Included is high speed fiber wifi. Within a block is access to Main Street restaurants, bars, shops, artisan studios, museums, and parks. Close by are golf courses, wineries and hiking trails. Just minutes from Galena, Elizabeth is a central hub for exploring Jo Daviess County. The front porch or back deck provides a chance to pause, relax and enjoy the small town vibe.
